BREAKING NEWS! Cardiff City’s Record Breaking Transfer Emiliano Sala Missing!

Hello all, this post is not a very lighthearted one. It is going to be pretty brief as I am breaking some tough news. I want to keep all of you informed and that’s what this post is for. With that being said let’s get into this.

Background

For those of you that do not know, Cardiff City currently sit 18th in the Premier League. They are struggling to score goals this season and have just completed a transfer to try and fix this issue. The Bluebirds signed striker Emiliano Sala from FC Nantes in Ligue 1 for 16 million Euros. The Argentinian forward had been burying goals for Nantes and before the transfer his tally was at 13 goals in 21 appearances for the club. The 16 million Euro move is the most Cardiff has ever spent on a player and they were hoping Sala would turn things around for them. Unfortunately, it does not look like Sala may get the chance to help the side with recent breaking news that his plane has gone missing.

What We Know

At this point, there has not been much positive news surrounding Sala. Here is what we know so far. The Argentine boarded a small passenger plane to make the flight from Nantes to Cardiff and has not been seen since. Authorities fear the plane has crashed and all on board have been lost. Guernsey police believe the plane may have gone down over the English channel near their island and have been searching relentlessly to find signs of life. There is the possibility that the plane may have changed course to avoid bad weather. However, no communication has been made with the plane and authorities are fearing the worst. This is truly awful news, please keep all affected by this situation in your prayers. I apologize for the somber posting but the more people aware of the situation, the more prayers that can be lifted up.

FINAL UPDATE

Sala’s body has been found and the case has been closed. Truly awful to see. Life is precious everyone, cherish it. Until next time, God bless.
